Deputy Group CIO & Member of Amundi’s General Management Committee and Executive Committee

Matteo Germano is Deputy Group Chief Investment Officer, member of Amundi’s General Management Committee and Executive Committee.

Matteo Germano has been working in the investments industry since 1996. He started his career with Eurispes and Furman Selz. He then joined UniCredit Group, holding different research and managerial roles, and he led the Global Research teams at Pioneer Investments as well as the Global Multi Asset team.

In Amundi, prior to his current position, he was in charge of the global Multi-Asset platform, that manages nearly € 300 bn over a wide range of investment strategies, encompassing asset allocation, stocks and fund selection. In February 2022, he became Deputy Group CIO.

Since 2017, he is covering the role Chief Investiment Officer at Amundi SGR.

He is a member of the General Management Committee, the Executive Committee and of several supervisory boards.

He is an Economics graduate of the University of Genoa and completed a MSc in Finance at the University of London.
